Monster High Cookies!

Posted by on Mar 5, 2012 in Cookies, My Cakes |

And finally we have some Monster High themed sugar cookies.  We used this in the goody bags that we sent home with her friends (and served the extras at her family party the next day).  These took a bit of time due the fact that there is no set of Monster High cookie cutters – so each cookie, fondant piece, and accent was cut by hand using a template.  Time consuming? yes but they looked so neat and she loved them!

Hi there! Your monster high cookies look awesome! Would like to make them for my daughter’s 9th Birthday Party. Would it be possible to get the recipe from you??

Thanks

I made these by finding the skull image online and resizing it to the size I wanted the cookie. I then printed it and cut it out. Then make your sugar cookie dough, roll out and use the template and a sharp knife to cut out the cookies. While the cookies baked, I rolled out white fondant and again used the template to cut out fondant shapes. When the cookies come out of the oven, place the fondant cut outs on the cookies and smooth with a fondant smoother. They will melt a bit and bond to the cookie. Then continue with making a bow and using the template’s eyes to cut out the black eyes from fondant.
